Very happy that this is a free app and it provides most of the basic features needed for riyaaz or to perform.
But the taal section needs major improvements.
Let’s take an example of the taal ‘Tintal’/‘Teentaal’
Firstly,
Variation 9 in the app is the simplest variation of Tintal
Why is this variation numbered as 9??? It must be the default form of the teentaal or it should be numbered as variation 1 not variation 9!
All the subsequent variation should be named according to their increasing order of complexity
Secondly,
Some of the variations (2, 11, 12, 13, 14 and others) are in “chaugun” (4 times the normal speed). Please we don’t need those variations in chaugun, keep these variations in the normal speed.
Thirdly,
In few variations like variation 1, the tabla sound glitches in between, so it’s not perfectly in rhythm…please look into this.
Fourthly,
Please change the default tempo of the taals to 150bpm….not 240bpm
Also, if we have selected a particular tempo for a taal initially, keep the same tempo even if we change the taal
It’s really frustrating to change the tempo again and again after changing the taal.
Fifthly,
If we want to change a variation of the same taal, we need to tap the taal, scroll down, then select the same taal, scroll down again to change the variation. This is really frustrating!
It would be easier if there were arrows left and right to change to the desired variation within the same taal without doing the above time consuming steps
Lastly,
You may add Swaramandal feature for various raags in the future
